I've only posted a few short vignettes and I don't really consider myself a fanfic writer. Sometimes I just have an idea and need to get it down on paper, but it's usually very short. I can't imagine sitting down and plotting a multi-part story (but never say never ).
I was just blown away by the feedback that my vignettes generated, and many of the comments came from these so-called "icons." So I can't say that I feel that I wasn't given a chance by the people who've been around this boards for a long time.
