That's probably because if Clark lied about having a kid (he clearly knew about), he'd lie about being a virgin too. Until Lois believed Clark wasn't the kid's father, she wouldn't believe anything he said.
Also, I agree with Groobie on Super Mann. It felt a bit 1970s to me, plot wise.
You're probably right about why he didn't tell her about being so inexperienced, I didn't think of it that way.
As for Super Mann, I thought the 1970sish plot thing was an intentional throwback, and just rolled with it.
