I really enjoyed the Mercedes Lackey books. The Fairy Godmother was just a riot and I recommend it to everyone.
I was pretty dissapointed with Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series. It was entertaining but it was your typical romance novel. After her Fever series I started last year (and which were some of my favorites read last year) I had high hopes.
