I think you *should* count them! You have listened to the books, you've taken the time, you probably remember the plots - in every significant way, you've read the books!
(Besides, I gave myself credit for a 700-page book when I only read the last 100 pages in 2010. So let's not get too persnickety here, or (God forbid) I might have to take a book off *my* list!)
