How is this different than canon Lois cozying up with Stoke in WoS?
Well, she does not pretend to get engaged to Stoke, or to be dating him long term. Clark does seem to think she really has lost it when he meets her at the Stoke Club, but he wisely does not try to force her out.
I guess the main difference is the time involved.
