Doesn't this seem a little odd in that it might well come back to haunt the canon Clark somehow? Maybe as a result of this Lois avoids being attracted to Superman and pursues Clark? (this is assuming Wells "corrects" things and can find a way to save Canon Clark.)
Wait, how would that be it coming back to "haunt" canon Clark. Isn't that exactly what every Clark has wanted at every point, a Lois who is in love with Clark and says "Superman, I can live without him". I am not seeing how this is a bad thing.
