A good friend of mine visited Australia a few years ago, and he told me that one of the best parts of the trip was the people Down Under. They were uniformly open, friendly, and glad to see him. No one made any cutting remarks about Americans in his hearing, and he said he wished he was young enough to emigrate, he liked the place so much.
That's exactly what happened to my cousin and he did emigrate and taught in the High School in Perth for 30 years! He now lives in Margaret River. (wine country like Napa, CA)
Yes, we've been to Australia and it is great. We met Tricia W there in Sydney and had a great time.
