I can sympathize. DS was born on a Wed [30 days early]. We came home on Friday. Sat was the baby shower. I sat in my big cushie chair and did nothing. I don't think you could have paid me to do more
. I told everyone they were welcome to go ahead and come over and do the shower - it was at our house - but I was going to sit there and do nothing. They were fine with that

Monday of that week, I'd thought "You know, if he comes by Wed, we'll be home in time for the shower..." Sometimes a mom just knows!
