He might be able to sell Lois on the he's a strange visitor from another planet, but if he told her he's from another time and dimension as well (seriously), Lois might start thinking Supes got a screw loose. It's the type of thing that without HG Wells, it's kind of hard to prove. Also, if he were to tell Lois that he came to this dimension to find her because he had fallen in love with a different version of her who happened to be engaged to a different version of him... he's once again risking angering Lois because he doesn't love "this Lois her" but "other Lois her".
