Clark took a deep breath and let it out slowly as he counted to ten. It was not worth fighting over - not when he had no idea how long they'd be stuck in the trunk together.
I like this. Clark loves Lois, but he still accepts that she can be such a pain and he doesn't necessarily want to provoke that side of her personality.
