Btw if I want to ask an author about their stories is it better to mail them or ask away on the board?
If an author posts to the board regularly, I'm sure he or she would like to hear those nice things publicly
If it's someone you haven't seen on the boards, you might be better off to write to them privately, just to make sure they get your comments.
I think that any author would be happy to get fan mail
