Between the Pages - TOC My apologies who anyone who thought Lois's language (bluntness) to be a bit coarse.
If case you missed it, in this universe Superman didn't lie and tell Lois he was affected by Miranda's love potion; therefore, Superman didn't profess his undying love to her and make-out with her. Their only kiss was right before he left to defeat Nightfall. It's one of the reasons Lois accepted Lex's proposal without him needing to completely ruin her life first. The Daily Planet wasn't bombed, Lois never went to LNN, and Clark never admitted to her how he really feels. ALL because Lois never thought she had a real chance with Superman. Hence, why she realizes earlier he's merely a fantasy.
