What I mean by this is that there's nothing logical about love for one's country. So the greatest country in the world makes as much sense as the best mom in the world or the best dad in the world.
Yes, exactly! You said it perfectly, Alcyone. I was thinking something along that vein but couldn't put it into words. And of course what the person who says any of these things really means is
the best mom/dad/country for me. They just assume that what is best for them is best for everybody.
