There is one place that Clark should have absolutely told Lois. It is as they are in the time machine going back to 1966 when Lois asks why. He should realize there is no way he is going to get out of explaining what is up, and if the crazed psycho-path Tempus knows the truth, he should get Lois fully on his side so he can fight effectively. They have a time machine, so it is not like there is really any hurry.
