Just so you don't think I'm ripping off your idea, I should mention that the Supergirl crossover story I'm currently writing has included something very similar since the first draft - since she can't really deny that her face is similar to Supergirl, she wears tinted contact lenses in her secret identity but otherwise flaunts the resemblance to make it look like she has nothing to hide:
“She’s cute, very cute. Reminds me of someone, can’t quite think who.”
“Supergirl; Same height if she wears the right boots, same hair colour though she styles it differently, same build, eye colour’s different but otherwise my facial recognition software gives her a near-perfect match. Last month she was runner-up in the Miss Supergirl contest at Malibu Beach. She won the look-alike and personality sections, but came third in weight-lifting.”
“Right; I can see it now you say it.”
