The challenge is to create your own motivational poster using L&C pics. You're going to have to host them someplace else, though, in order to link to them.
I'll start off to give you an idea of what I have in mind.
OMG - C_A, you should warn someone before you post a picture like that!!!
Seriously, I'm at work for crying out loud! I had to clap my hand across my mouth and bite down on my tongue to keep myself from letting go of - what was going to be - a very long, loud laugh.
As it is, if anyone walks by, they are going to be wondering why my head and shoulders keep bobbing up and down as I sit here snickering to myself.
I really didn't mind it the first time round. Now if only Dean didn't wear his shirt in every scene in every episode... okay I highly doubt any woman on the set could concentrate if he did, but still we could all die happy right? I better get my head out of the gutter.
I had to laugh so loud These are great and yes the pictures where Clark doesn't were a shirt are the best I wish I could come up with such great things.
Omigosh. I just laughed so hard reading these that I nearly fell out of my chair. I think the frog one was my absolute favorite, but they were all wonderful.
These would make fun icons, too, if such a thing is possible. Am a complete graphics dummy myself, so I don't know if it is or not.
Heh heh. Thanks. I think it's my favorite of the ones I've made so far, too. Because I'm snarky that way.

Probably not, because if you shrunk them down to icon/avatar size, the text wouldn't be legible anymore. But if anyone wants to give it a try, be my guest .
I went and made this. The pic is pretty small, but oh well. I made a couple others but my Paint Shop Pro is messing things up when I save, so I'll have to redo them  . I'll have more later.
"Jumping the shark is a metaphor that was originally used to denote the tipping point at which a TV series is deemed to have passed its peak, or has introduced plot twists that are illogical in terms of everything that has preceded them. Once a show has "jumped the shark", fans sense a noticeable decline in quality or feel the show has undergone too many changes to retain its original charm."
And I know I spent FAAAR too much time on this, but this is the procrastination thread, isn't it? I had to actually make my own because the generator wouldn't do the strikethrough font. *pout*
I absolutely love these! Each one gets better and better! , how about the "Sexy when wet" one), I really like the secondary character ones. Especially Perry's with the beer hat on! Any ideas for Jimmy?
P.S. Sara, yours had me rotfling . Oh, and I think you could still use the Motivator for that type of thing, you'd just have to edit the image a little afterwards.
These are just amazing. Y'all are killing me. The secondary character ones are just a scream - Jimmy, Mayson, Lana...all wonderful.
And Lois with the plunger! Loved that one, too. (Anyone else have kids who watch VeggieTales? LarryBoy\'s superpower is his super-suction ears - two toilet plungers stuck in his hat. That's what that poster made me think of!)
Sara, the strikeouts in yours had me on the floor. Whatever voodoo you had to do to make them happen was absolutely worth it.
And icons! Yay Jessi! Thank you.
Y'all can keep this up forever as far as I'm concerned.
C_A, that's exactly what I had in mind for Jimmy! You just made it 10 times funnier than what I had in my head!
And I have to say, it took awhile for a Luthor one to pop up! But it's hilarious, too! Please keep these coming. They are so funny. I know exactly where to go if I ever need to brighten my day. I'll just have to bookmark this thread!
ROTFLDOFMSH -- What? You don't know what those letters stand for? Oh, okay... fine... "Rolling on the floor laughing doubled over from my stomach hurting."
These are hilarious! I LOVE the Jimmy one!!! And Lara, thanks so much for that poster. <g> Glad to be of inspiration.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite threads to follow. hehehe! I went over to check on the pixel challenge thread that C_A posted at the beginning of this - rofl! it has 330-some pages of totally hilarious stuff. Course I didn't read them all, but I did note the large number of Supernatural images *and* the apparent lack of shirtless Clark over there. We ought to go fix that. *lol*
I don't remember who it was that said this could be a good new category for alt-kerths, but I think it's a great idea. Hey, anything to keep these things coming, cause these are just so incredibly funny! Please don't stop, guys!!
Okay, okay, sorry, I had to do just one more <g> These really are addictive.
This one is dedicated to Sue and Jojo - who love Angry!Clark as much as I do. <g>
C_A - I know the scene the snow cone one is coming from - Man of Steel Bars - when they think Superman is causing the heat.
Now, the obscure reference? I don't know for sure - but I know what it reminded me of. It reminded me of Sue's "Faustian Bargain" when Lois is watching Clark suck on the end of his pencil and she is thinking how lucky that pencil is. <g>
Holy Mother of...Pearl! /me melts into a puddle of goo. I haven't seen that one in years! Thanks, Sue. <g> /me fans herself rapidly and then goes and stands in front of the fridge for an hour...
MetroRhodes, don't feel bad about having made yours. I didn't notice there was a website with a generator either until after I'd made mine. I think making them myself is more fun anyway.
Keep these coming, everyone! And if you're looking for screencaps, feel free to grab them from my gallery. I just put PML and HiM up today, and I'm hoping to have a few more eps up by the end of my three day weekend. I do take ep requests, so if you're looking for something specific, just let me know and I'll put it at the top of my priority list. All four seasons are fair game.
But DJ, when I saw: Soap, just add water, I had to laugh and laugh because all I could think of was: Instant water, just add water..... (For those of you who don't know of what I speak, it was from the Round Robin DJ and I were both involved in last summer.)
This thread has become my first stop when I get to the computer every day too. I just can't wait to see what people have come up with! I've even been working furiously at getting more eps capped, just so people have more stuff to bring to this thread.
And the gutter! *lol* I saw it on that thread that inspired this challenge, you should see how many variations of the gutter they have. ROFL I was wondering if someone would eventually repost it here. LOL! It's so damned funny!!
I said I wasn't going to do any others, didn't I. Well... so I lied. *lol*
I don't claim credit for the captions under the images - they came from Despair, inc. where you can buy "demotivational" posters. I grabbed the captions and made new posters using images that would fit. Still amusing, I hope!
And this one - the image is from When Irish Eyes are Killing, and although I don't know what the conversation is they were having in that scene, it's quite possible it's got a lot to do with the caption, actually. It would so totally fit with 50 First Revelations by DJ & Sue, wouldn't it? hehehe! I was just "kinda" thinking about that story when I made that one.
And the gutter! *lol* I saw it on that thread that inspired this challenge, you should see how many variations of the gutter they have. ROFL I was wondering if someone would eventually repost it here. LOL! It's so damned funny!!
I haven't read all the posts in that thread (it's just so darn long!) so I didn't see those posters. I just did a Google picture search for "gutter" and this was one of the first ones that popped up. I guess it's a case of GMTA .

LOL! Then I guess they googled for it too. This is SO funny! I thought it was a repost, but this is several times more amusing. hehehe!
...and I've spent WAY too much time looking at images over on that thread. It gets tiresome seeing images of the Supernatural guys. And annoying that there is absolutely zero L&C... blah!
And the rest of them - oh, my! LOL! Love Compromise, Lara. And thanks for the link to that demotivational website. Very interesting. That photo that accompanies Change gives me the shivers!
Like many others, I come back to this thread more than once each day. I love every new poster that goes up. And C_A - The rumaki poster is just awesome.
I cringe sometimes when I watch people try to imitate our accent. I remember watching JAG and the character Mic Brumby and also watching that episode of The Simpsons and I was thinking: 'We so don't talk like that! I mean come on we all don't live out in the outback'!'
It's amusing to say the least. I've met many Americans who know from hearing me talk that I was brought up here an Aussie girl through and through well except for how I look. They are surprised when they hear me speak Chinese because I've no trace of any Asian accent whatsoever when I speak English unlike most of my Asian friends who still have a little trace of an Asian accent. My aunt once thought I had a problem speaking Chinese because apparently I sounded like a Westerner learning to speak it!
Came to me while I was on the bus this morning. (sorry, Lois, we really don't mean to rub it in. I promise I'll make up to you.. I'm working on it right now!!)
Oh, I love the tuxedo one! And on "Compromises", how could Lois be mad at him when he looks like that??? Maybe not the expression on his face, but that tight shirt with those beautiful arms...
Anyway, I started an internship today and I was in a conference room with a bunch of motivational posters lining the wall. All I could think of was this thread and it took everything for me to not laugh right there! They would have thought I was nuts! Great job everyone!
I think this thread should be available on the NHS.
What's the NHS? Some health thing, I s'pose cause it gets your heart pumping? LOL!
The second on the second row of the toxedos is so irresistible! WOW!!! If that's not totally yummy, I don't know what is!!
Quote

Yeah, no kidding, huh? Can you just imagine finding yourself in those arms? I would totally die!!!
What's the NHS? Some health thing, I s'pose cause it gets your heart pumping? LOL!
LOL, I guess. National Health Service. The main supplier of healthcare in the UK.
They say laughter is the best thing when you're feeling poorly, so I reckon this thread should be available, free of charge, to all NHS patients. <g> Perk them up a bit.
Some should come with a warning, though, I'd say. Some of the shirtless Clark images could potentially give older women a heart attack. *lol* Not to mention what could happen if you rolled, let's say, onto a thumbtack while ROFL'ing...
Two seconds after looking at your Betrayal poster, I spent a good couple seconds remembering plastic dinosaurs fighting over This Land, that was really Wash's pilot area thing.
Aside from looking drop dead gorgeous shirtless and in a tux Dean also looks good in that army uniform from Operation Blackout girls there's a good reason to join the army!
This next one has been swimming in my head all day today. Hope you like!
Yay, you liked it <g> I was cruising screen caps and just could not *not* use that one...
Andreia, I snickered at "Optimism" and grinned at "Villains" -- keep 'em coming!
C_A, you're insane But I mean that in the nicest possible way! Suspenders were dreamy, Whiteout was funny, Jaws of Death was brilliant, and Heat Vision nearly made me spray my Diet Coke. You'd think I'd know better than to combine this thread with any type of liquids...
*Giggle* Amen to those, Lara! Especially the towel one.
I loved the first towel poster (the "we encourage the use of them") but my first thought upon reading it was "YEAH RIGHT! I'd much rather he didn't use one!"
I had to show that one to at least 4 people now, cause working in a cubicle again, when I laugh (and I laugh very loudly, unfortunately for the neighbors!) they all want to know what it's about. They've seen most of the posters and think we're a bunch of silly people with too much time on our hands. (I kept some hidden cause... the lollypop one, for instance, they would know I made that and... you know... *lol* I still want to work here! hehehe!)
Jen - you have NO idea how much you made me laugh with that one. Absolutely hilarious!
And here's a little shirtless Clark for this Friday. I looked *all over* for one that hadn't been used and had the hardest time in the world. Please don't tell me we're actually running out of them? *sobs*
I need to stop staring at 'em now, really, cause I'm about to drown in a puddle of drool, here. Anybody got a mop handy? *lol*
Edit: c_a - I just noticed your comment from before, I can't believe I missed it earlier.
Quote
And because if there's anything this thread lacks, it's shirtless Clark pics:
First thought that popped into my head was: "I love irony!" *rofl*
Ya know.. Jessi had a rather nice idea last night - we ought to start a "Shirtless Clark" website. Wouldn't that be fun? It would of course be a BYOM thing ("bring your own mop"). <snort!!>
Here's couple more I can't stop and we better keep those shirtless Clark one coming. I now he was shirtless in a lot more pic than the ones we have so keep them coming!
Here's the first one (I'm still in my PSA mood):
Number 2 in this lot and again I'm still in PSA mode:
One more before I go to bed and I have been watching Elvis movies lately so the inspiration for it came from it and a line by Perry in Neverending Battle.
Dreams...<happy sigh> Doesn't he just look cute enough to eat when he's asleep?
Muscles - ROTFL, Tricia - you betcha!
Crazy_Babe - LOL!
Gratuitous - Holy....! Now that should carry a health warning! Whooo. I'm just glad I don't have a pacemaker or it could have overloaded.
You know, this is beginning to remind me of one of Gateworld's Thunk threads. Where you have a thread specifically to post droolable pics of a character/actor...just because. (Thunk being the sound of someone hitting the floor in a dead faint because they've been overcome by how hot someone is. )
C_A, I about died when I saw your fivearms one! I had to try not to laugh or I'd wake up my boyfriend! I don't know if he'd appreciate it quite like I do! . Same with the Muscles...I could stare at that all day!
Quote
quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- god, those arms... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
no kidding, huh?
I knew I liked you guys for a reason. I'm more determined than ever to find a shirtless Clark so share with all of you! As funny as the others are (and I'm loving every single one of these, everyone! ), you can never have too many shirtless Clark pictures!
O.K., I'm now on page 2. Jessi, you're going to have to change your last name. You are definitely not "Untalented"! Loved the frogs, love the icons from the posters, loved it all! So far this is my fave:
ROTFLMAO! These are just all too great! This does look addictive! I made an avatar out of "Beds are for loosers"
Gratuitous? Like we really mind... *lol* I'll take all the gratuitous I can get.
The fivearms - seriously, I'm printing that one and putting it up in my office on Monday. (oh, and I could take a pic of that and make a new poster with it, too. ROFL)
Quote
Dreams...<happy sigh> Doesn't he just look cute enough to eat when he's asleep?
Totally!! Cute and huggable. /me gets a ridiculously dreamy look on her face.

I love your work, my favourite is the save a horse, ride a cowboy
Even my sister(and she had never seen an episode of L&C) had to laugh so laud that she saw an episode of L&C, so that prove's that you've all done excellent work
((Crazy_Babe)... just curious, which episode is the image in the "Family" poster from?)
It's from Home is Where the Hurt Is. It's when Ellen Lane arrives at Lois appartment and then her father walks in from the other room. This was the reactions of Lois, Clark, Martha and Jonathan.
Unbelievable! A website! I totally fell off my chair (well... the couch) when I saw that.
Jessi, you are totally *awesome*! We were kidding around last night saying how cool it would be to have a website with just images of our favorite shirtless man - I went looking for URLs that were available and just about died of laughter when I saw all the possibilities - I never expected to actually see a website being born of that silly idea. Way too cool!!
This is so going to be the welcome page of my browser now. hehehe!
Yummy DJ! You just don't get enough of a shirtless Clark (though if you were a guy I think you would.)
Here's another two. The shirtless Dean pic isn't from Lois and Clark it's from his movie Future Sport, but hey he's still half naked and we're all happy right? I know I am!
For the last one the inspiration came from you LabRat when you mentioned the pacemaker I couldn't resist making that part of the comment!
One more and if you're wondering why I have so much time on my hands today it's because I'm sweltering in about 40 degrees celcius of heat and being blasted by winds that are just fanninf the fire so sitting at my laptop seems to be the only thing to do.
Dang, Crazy_Babe, now you're almost making me wish I did have a pacemaker! Any excuse to call Dean round to my place, I'm all for trying!
I caught up with most of the new batch last night just before bed. My, but you guys are talented. Words fail me.
And...no...nope...can't think of any objections to half-nekkid Clark, no matter where he comes from. Fine by me. You just go right ahead. Fluff is good. Fluff is vastly under-rated, in my book.
ROTFL! Ain't that the truth! Clark in that uniform just reduces me to a babbling wreck every time. And Uniform + That Dazzling Smile = Complete Brain Freeze.
Thanks for upping my happiness quota for the afternoon, C_A!
I came up with... 26 in the last couple of hours. Was about to just post plain text, so people could imagine for themselves (and maybe, if they felt like, it make the ones that struck their respective fancies).
So... same deal here? Make the ones you like, post whatever's left over as-is?
Yeah, I dunno. I started with one and then kind of got on a roll for a while there. Glad you like.
And yeah! Looks great! Thank you so much!
As for images... I don't have the series committed to memory, shot-by-shot, so I didn't have much specific in mind. Hope my list wasn't too vague. If you've got any questions, go ahead and ask.
Oh my, I'm wiping tears of laughter away here. Paul, these are wonderful! I howled at them all, but I think Lipstick and Evil Curses have to be my favourites.
And C_A - Hoff, "Should be shot." Simple, true, what more can you say to that? I splurged my Irn Bru all over my screen. Should have known better, of course, to open this one up when drinking.
And thanks to DJ for making the posters. Keep 'em coming.
You're welcome. Paul's ideas were cracking me up. There will be more soon. I'm waiting for clarification on one picture for my next set.
In the meantime...
Perhaps I can entertain you with one of my own. This was always one of my favorite scenes from the 4th season - such a shame Perry interrupted. (At least it wasn't Jimmy this time - although he *was* there <g>)
Jessi, you are totally *awesome*! I went to the website and sucked all the air out of my room. I've died and gone to heaven! You are awesome!
LOL It's nowhere near done, but I suppose the gallery is enough to keep us entertained for a while! I'm having a good time with it.
crazy_babe - definitely having heart palpitations from that shirtless pic. WOW!
about to sound like a broken record, but... C_A - you totally kill me! The baywatch ones are just way too funny!!! Loved the uniforms. *drool* And the chemistry!! Awesome!
Paul, if the other 20 are as fun as these, I'm definitely looking forward to them! hehehe!
Quote

hehe! Imagine what it did to me when I saw that with a little "happy birthday" caption under it. I'm *still* not back from heaven yet, believe me!!!
And, hey, look - how'd you get a picture of Uncle Charlie? We wondered where he'd gone. He was touring the sewers of Taiwan and then, poof, never seen again....
Originally posted by ccmalo: been waiting for that floor shot<g> Do you know this is the first time I've noticed there was carpet on the floor???

LMAO!!!!!! I'm choking and crying over here!!! "There's carpet??? " Was my first thought. Had to scroll back up and look.
Oy! There are too many hilarious (and DROOL-worthy) ones to comment on now! I LOVE your additions, Paul! Especially The Kryptonite lipstick and the Diet Clark OMG! LMAO!
Sorry I didn't comment on others' posters before, BTW. By the time I got into this thread, there were a bewildering array of them. (And, for some reason, a lot of the Clark-centric ones don't seem to do much for me... Go figure... Although you've gotta love "Gratuitous"...)
Really, this whole thread has been a lot of fun. Good job, everyone!
And thanks again to DJ for putting mine together! Glad you guys are enjoying. (The number is 27 now, BTW, so you've seen 1/3 of them.)
Quick note of explanation for non-US FoLCs... Kay Jewelers is a national chain specializing in diamonds. They have a bunch of ads with the underlying message "You know what'll make her REALLY happy with you? Diamonds!" and the slogan... "Every kiss begins with Kay!"
Anyway... I love "Yodel" and "Windex" ( ) and a whole bunch of others. Thanks for getting this going, C_A!
C_A - thanks for spoofing mine - LOL! That is hilarious. You know, come to think of it, I hadn't really noticed that carpet before either I can't imagine why?
This is my absolute favorite picture. The moment he looks up at Lois after he put the ring back on her finger at the end of Never on Sunday ... I just can't resist it.
Yeah, I know, what can I say? I've watched it (several times), tried hard to enjoy it (several times), but I'm always left with that 'Why do people like this movie?' feeling at the end.
Course, with my TV track record, 10 years from now I'll watch it again and it'll suddenly click and I'll be amazed I took so long to 'get it'.
Originally posted by MrsMosley: Lara, that's the best shirtless Clark yet. Hey, how come Jimmy gets to stand next to him? (What ep is that from, anyway?)
The Dad Who Came in From the Cold, I believe.
She shared the picture with me before she made the poster and I nearly had a heart attack!
In eleven days, we have made 166 posters on this wonderful thread that C_A introduced. This tells me that collectively we have a lot of time on our hands, but I am so that we are spending it this way because I haven't laughed this hard in ages! Thank you!
(By the way, it took me way too long to count the posters because I had to keep stopping to laugh. Or gasp, in the case of shirtless Clark posters.)
As I posted elsewhere, I've been sick for quite a while (4 weeks), and one of the things I've fallen behind on is the boards. What a great thing to come back to! Wow! You are all so very creative, and I'm soooo motivated (to go watch more L&C). Thank you all very much! Mouse
Yes, I'm sure for you ladies, Clark is the portable, always prepared, delicious meal. He could be a breakthrough for dieticians. After all, he's sweet, but dense, therefore ensuring you don't need much to be filled. Wait. <looks around at drooling female FOLCs> There seems to be an alarming addiction rate. Of course, food companies might think that a bonus, for it would surely increase sales.
This wasn't planned for, it just happened. And it's my last one, before I get voted off this thread. (ah, dammit, I should have said that, it gave me another idea... this challenge is making me lose my mind completely!)
Lara I loved them all but especially the FoLCs one. Too cute.
Oh, but I do have to point out. The "Seconds" one? That should have really been "thirds". <g> Go all the way back to page one. I used that scene from "The Dad Who Came Into The Cold" for the poster I did for "Telephones". <g> Just had to point that out since "I found it first" <DJ sings in a childish voice> Ahem... what came over me? But, mmmm, yours was so drool worthy.
And yes, Woody, they are high fiber - but also high in protein. It's the total package.
Ahhhh, this thread is so much fun! (Oh and loved your Lois one, Lara, we have to remember the guys from time to time. <g>)
Oh, but I do have to point out. The "Seconds" one? That should have really been "thirds". <g> Go all the way back to page one. [Big Grin] But, mmmm, yours was so drool worthy.
Then it should actually be "fourth". *lol* Cause if you look on page 6 - I posted that image, then Jessi posted it again inside the screen cap with the MSN window while we were chatting and then I posted it right back again.
But, mmmmm... seriously, is anyone going to complain? (OK, guys, perhaps - although they know it's best to keep us happy and shirtless Clark most definitely keeps us happy, doesn't he? *lol*)
When we get around to 300 images, I just might post it another time. Just so you know. Cause it's the best darned looking shirtless one I've seen so far - not only do we get a really good look at his chest, but OMG the arms! hehehe! Yep, greatest thing since sliced bread.
Woody, thanks for pointing out that he's high in fiber - I'm not sure how much fiber I can get from just looking at him, but I'll let you know once I'm done with the experiment. Cause, you know, staring at that pic sure beats having to take fiber supplements. *lol*
I wonder, is "paper" high in fiber? You could always print off the picture and eat it, Lara...
ROFL! I got a birthday card this week-end that went along the same lines as that. It said: [translated from French] "These days, there are birthday cakes that have no salt, no sugar, no butter." and inside it: "You should probably eat this card instead, it might taste better."
The first one was funny enough; the second one killed me I managed not to laugh out loud (much) but it's a darn good thing nobody was walking past my office -- they'd have thought I was having a fit!
Paul's gecko lines were cracking me up. I wasn't sure what pictures he was going for (hope he likes those) but when I found that one of the Geico gecko, I knew I just had to use it. <g>
There are still 6 of Paul's left for me to post. Hopefully I can do 3 at lunch and then 3 later tonight. I don't know how in the world he came up with some of these (especially the Pepsi one - I loved that one, Paul)
Ooooh! Yummy, C_A! And look! He even has a dimple <drool> in the injuries one.
I'm not sure if any of have been made of shirtless Clark on the "honeymoon" night, either? The one where he spins into his boxers and the black shirt. Okay - so not technically "shirtless" but you still get a good glimpse of his chest. <sigh> Oh, and he does take it off eventually, or rather, Lois takes it off. <g>
I wasn't sure what pictures he was going for (hope he likes those) but when I found that one of the Geico gecko, I knew I just had to use it. <g>
You've done a great job with all of them, DJ. Perfect pics. And yeah, I love the Geiko one!
Really, the only nit I have to pick with any of the ones you've made for me is that Jimmy's was supposed to be in the past tense. "Because Google hadn't been invented yet." But, you know what? It's one letter. Out of 20 posters. That's pretty impressive. Thanks again!
Quote
I don't know how in the world he came up with some of these (especially the Pepsi one - I loved that one, Paul)
I don't know. I just sat and thought about the whole poster thing. Tried to mentally skim over the series, but I didn't have an ep guide handy and my memory isn't that great. Somehow, though, I got on a roll. I've only come up with one or two since that span, but it was a fairly productive couple of hours.
Not sure what you mean about the Pepsi one, though. Diet Clark?
Anyway...
Quote
Somehow, I can just see the Gecko going, "Look at my tail. Does that look like a knob? Didn't think so."
lol, Woody! Was thinking about that. How it was a different species. But couldn't help it. I just love the Geiko gecko. Great dialog, though. Maybe we should make another poster with that...
Pepsi thing - Hmmm, I was thinking "Ain't nothing like the real thing baby" was Pepsi - was it Coke? I can't keep track - I don't drink either... I drink Dr. P <g>
Glad you liked them... now that Jimmy one is going to bother me and I'm going to have to fix it later. Sheesh - can you say obsessive?
Yeah, I love those commercials too, Woody. They've done a lot of fun things with him.
DJ, don't worry about Jimmy. It works as it is. Just a different tense.
And yeah... that was Coke's slogan. I know they're hard to keep track of, but I thought of it because of the Coke-Clark thing. They're not that similar, but... kind of. You know? And then the slogan came to mind and fit so well... So there you go.
Anyway, just in case I haven't said it enough... thanks again for putting them all together for me.
These are my contribution to Shirtless Clark Galery.
C_A beat me to the Metallo pics, but I'm going to post the mine anyway. I had these ones ready since the morning, but I hadn't got to post them due to internet problems at work and I couldn't throw away shirtless Clark pics. The captions are different, though.
I wish I could think of something witty to say. You guys are awesome!!! My favorite on this page has got to be "What could be better than a shirtless Clark? A shirtless Clark front and back." SO true!!!
OMG, I am ROTFL. This thread is so funny. I was reading this thread while also watching Friends so I was cracking up. Its a good thing I am alone or people would think I am a little pycho. My favorite has to be the cowboy one, but I also love the first Jimmy one and the wet dean one, I am glad I was firmly in my chair when looking at the shirtless clark pictures. I didnt notice the typo either.lol. Kate (who wishes she could be Lois in some of those pictures or even the toothbrush)
Lisa, yes, Ms. Goodbottom -- some more good eye candy for the guys.
And Jen, I'm glad Woody hooked you up - by the time I got on here to do a screen capture for you, everyone else had already beat me to it. Loved your Oatmeal one - classic.
Oh, my gosh, Jessi, thanks for the shirtless Clark site!!!!
Quote
OMG - that's *Jimmy*? What is that pic from? I want to see that show/movie/whatever. Whoa!
Did we ever find out the answer to that?
What typo, Lara? Took me a while to get it too.... (But then... who cares, as long as he’s shritless.....)
Oh, DJ, Clark... It’s What’s for Breakfast. Loved it.
Couldn’t read the conversation on the chat pic, Jessi.
Okay, for you GUYS.... I can’t get the poster thing to work, but I just did a bunch of screen shots for Lois. If anyone wants to do some Lois shots, let me know, I’ll send ‘em to you.
Quote
Pepsi thing - Hmmm, I was thinking "Ain't nothing like the real thing baby" was Pepsi - was it Coke? I can't keep track - I don't drink either... I drink Dr. P <g>
Glad you liked them... now that Jimmy one is going to bother me and I'm going to have to fix it later. Sheesh - can you say obsessive?
I must have missed something because I’m clueless as to what you are talking about. Care to explain?
Ok girls I have four more to make you happy (and and make your heart race!) The picture from the first three are from Best Men, but he is half-naked and I don't think you'll have any objections. The last one is a cap from I Do But I Don't girls doesn't he look delicious as a fireman?
Ooo, Miss Goodbottom! Great idea, and nice pic! Thanks.
(Always thought that was funny, too, because Lex's assistant in the 1978 movie was Miss Teshmacher - which kinda sorta translates to something like "Good tush" or "Tush mover.")
You know, I keep thinking we need a "Chumpy" poster, but I can't think of a good one. Anybody? C_A, you're the maestro. Wanna give it a shot?
Oh, and maybe an amnesia one? Like "AMNESIA: What were we talking about?" or "AMNESIA: Because sometimes you... you... who are you?" or something. Eh, maybe not.
Keep thinking we need Ralph's Pagoda and Bobby Bigmouth, too, but can't come up with anything good. Oh well.
DJ, you fixed Jimmy? Oh no! How will we ever have cute little Jimmy puppies now?? ... Oh, wait. You mean the poster. *whew* Looks good. Thanks!
Re: the "HOLY CRAP: When did Jimmy get hot?" poster. That is, indeed, Michael Landes. It's a screenshot from when he guest starred on Ghost Whisperer recently.
Oh, oh, C_A - that's priceless!!! ROTFL! Ralph is DEFINITELY "chumpy". <g>
Oh, and Paul,
Quote
DJ, you fixed Jimmy? Oh no! How will we ever have cute little Jimmy puppies now??
I totally snorted over that one. LOL. Too funny!
(Nancy - the Jimmy reference is because I mistakenly wrote "Google *hasn't* been invented yet" instead of "hadn't". It was a typo and I HAD to go fix it. And yes, Woody's right, the Pepsi/Coke thing was from the picture caption with Chen entitled "Diet Clark" - hee hee)
I will be back later today with the last 3 I have for Paul <g> Just needed clarification on one picture.
Couldn’t read the conversation on the chat pic, Jessi.
I don't really think you were meant to, Nancy. We were... um... having a discussion about his arms (eh!) and making comments about the "ride a cowboy" line which I'm not really sure are fit to print here. (and yeah, yeah, I made those comments. It was late. I was tired. I'd seen one too many shirtless Clark pictures. *lol*)
I'm cracking up looking at these this morning. hehe! I have too much work to look at them in detail (read: if I laugh too much, they'll know I'm not working!!) but I'll be back!! I've seen some real good ideas for posters that haven't been done on the latest comments - if they're not done by the time I'm on my lunch break, I might take a stab at them.

Ya know, keeping up with this thread is almost a full time job. *lol*
And boy is it a funny one! hehehe
Quote
Seriously, Lara. For all the energy you put into Clark's arms...and his shirtless body in general...we could be best friends!
hehehe - well, pull up a chair Kristen and grab yourself a drink. There's lots of place for giggling girls with a thing for Clark's arms over here. We'd be glad to have you around.
I have to say I love the posters that come in pairs. I'm still laughing at the Baywatch ones. hehehe. ...and at mine, where no one is looking at their faces, although it's not nearly as amusing.
Need I say I'm still laughing at Diet Clark as well? That one's my absolute favorite so far. Just brilliant!
]Yeah, we're really complaining about shritless Clark here. Can't believe we've had to make the sacrifice and look at him for 8 pages.
Gasp! Choke! argh! ...oops... almost died of laughter. I love irony (or is that sarcasm... I'm lost in translation, I think! anyway....) and OMG, Jen, you do it so well!
It's sarcasm and yeah, Jen really sounds irritated about it.
That makes me think. Somebody should see how many of the caps feature a shirtless Clark. (All the obsessive-compulsives start counting)
Just thought of one. Don't know how to make a posteer but here's the idea. One picture of Clark from the end of Operation Blackout where he "drives" in midair next to the jeep.
The caption: "The '94 Superman-No gas required, and spandex seats."
Or: Clark Kent meets James Bond-The car's not invisible, it's just not there.
Glad to hear you guys are still enjoying mine, too. Thanks!
Shirtless Clark... Now I've contributed to it, too. *sigh* Sorry, Jen.

Well, if you have the screencap, this site will do most of the work for you. My problem is that I don't have my DVDs here and browsing screencap sites on dialup is painful.
Gee, you guys just keep on going like the Energiser Bunny, don't you?
There have been too many posters posted since I last got the chance to check the thread to comment on individually, but suffice to say I laughed out loud at each and every one.
Well, I went back and did some counting, just for the heck of it. Numbers may be slightly off, since I was keeping track of so many things at once, but I think they're pretty close.
Shirtless Clark 45 Clark in a see-through shirt 1 L&C Making out 16 Generally Sexy (includes all of the above) 98
Items/ideas which appear:
Kryptonite 7 Death 8 Lois's chicken costume 4 Lois's cooking 4 Candy 4 A telephone 7 This thread 3

(That's right, FoLCs. No One appears more often than Lex Luthor. No One.)
Wow, Paul! Nice job on counting all of that! Now this can be a benchmark so no one will have to start at the beginning to continue the stats. And that's a daunting task considering this thread grows by leaps and bounds anyway!
How cool is that! Thanks Paul! I have 3 more of yours in process - I won't be going home for lunch today, though, so they'll have to wait till tonight. <g> 3 of my favorites of those new ones you sent me.
Meantime... I've got 31 to my name, and a bunch more (10 or so?) in the works. I was going to say that you shouldn't feel quite so bad about your 60+, but maybe the lesson is that I'm in dire straits, too... Hrm.
In any case, Clark appears in over 80% of the posters to date. This should surprise no one.
Woody! I had a cookie in my mouth when I read that! I can't believe there aren't cookie crumbs on my screen. How I managed to get my hand up there that fast is beyond me.
Too funny.
If no one's done that one before I get home tonight, I'll give it a shot. <g>
If no one's done that one before I get home tonight, I'll give it a shot.
"if no one's done that" -- you mean what exactly? Ride a Superman? (ah hum... I'm sorry... I think I've spent too much time on the dark side of the boards. going back to hide over there....)
Ok here's one from me today and it was and idea I got from Lara when we were chatting on MSN just a little while ago. The Clark Bar is meant to symbolise chocolate, but since I don't have any pictures of chocolates on hand it will have to do.
I have an idea for a poster, but I don't know where to look for the image. I know there's a scene with Clark sitting at his desk with a pencil in his mouth. Anyone know which episode that might have been??? I thought it was Pheromone when Lois first walks over to his desk, but I don't think thats it anymore.
Let me first say that I have been following this Motivational Poster marathon since it had only three pages, and I have to congratulate all poster authors (and of course others who gave inspiration) for their fantastic ideas. LOVED them all!
I laughed, I drooled, and even went "aaawww" to a few.
I have thought about any posters that I could maybe do, but nothing comes to mind so far.
While I try to create my own poster, let me try to help Kristen. Is the following image what you are looking for? It's from HIM. He doesn't seem to have the pencil *in* his mouth, but it's pretty close.
That was "Chi of Steel". You are talking about the shirt Jonathan washed with his cape, right? In this episode, Lois has a dream where he has a *cigar* in his mouth. No pencil that I could find.
I was thinking: wasn't it in the Pilot, when he is writing the story about the theater, before he is hired by Perry, that he has the pencil in his mouth? The screencaps don't show it (they don't show *every* instant of the episodes), but I have the impression that *that* was the scene you are looking for. He is wearing a blue shirt then. Can anybody else check in their own set of images or videos?
I have this scene in my head where he's concentrating really hard on his work and he has a pencil in his mouth. Then Lois walks up to him and he takes it out of his mouth to talk to her. And he seems really uncertain about her. That's what makes me think its Pheromone. I guess I'll just have to break out the dvds!
~Kristen
EDIT: Ok, I checked and its not Pheromone. I have no idea where else to look, but its going to continue to drive me nuts!
Kristen, I'm off to check for you... but I'm thinking maybe that it's "Requiem for a Super Hero." Clark's upset because everyone says "where were you Clark?" and he says "I went to get help." Lois assures him it's okay, that even Superman didn't make it there on time. I think that's the point that he's chewing on the pencil... I'll go look.
EDIT...
Well, sorry, that's not it, either... he's definitely playing with a pencil, but it's not in his mouth. Hmmm, are you sure you aren't just thinking about Sue's Faustian Bargain? I'll e-mail Sue and see if there's a scene that she drew her inspiration from...
Maybe I just made it up. I'm actually rereading Faustian Bargain. That's where the idea for the poster came from, actually. I really thought there was a scene, but I could have just imagined it.
Here's my latest three for Paul! Enjoy!!! (I know I did)
P.S. -- Kristen, I just heard back from Sue - her inspiration didn't come from an LNC episode. She too can't remember him actually putting a pencil in his mouth. She remembers him playing with them...
Regarding Clark with a pencil in his mouth.. I found Clark with a pen in his mouth. It's from Neverending Battle when Perry and everyone are having a Staff meeting on how to cover Superman.
The pictures I have are not that clear nor is he the focus... But... hope this helps
Yeah, every time I see a picture of him with a pencil, he is either playing with it, using it to write, or it's behind his ear. It seems Lois and Clark were always putting their pencils behind their ears.
Can someone remind me where you guys are snagging the screencaps from? I know there were a few links posted earlier in the thread, but trudging through 10 pages to find the post is kind of daunting.
Is there a website out there that organises screenshots by episode? 'cos, you know, that would be really helpful.
Thanks!
LabRat (who seems to have lost her CD of LNC photos from yesteryear... )
----------------------------- Tricia V 1 -----------------------------
That should be 6 - Smiles, Luthor, Perry, Luckabee,Photocopiers and muscles.
Oops. Sorry about that, Tricia. I was using a modified system of roman numerals to count (so I didn't have to erase a digit every time I added one more), and it looks like I missed a V when converting. Actually, looking back, I also missed an XV. I've now edited the post to correct, and updated the poster total.
Thanks for pointing it out, and sorry for the mistake.
Can someone remind me where you guys are snagging the screencaps from?
Labby (or anyone),
C_A mentioned my cap site, which has most of the first two seasons on it, but I'm working on getting every episode up there, so if you're looking for something from any of the four seasons, let me know and I'll put that ep on the top of my To Do list.
Cute Pam! And C_A I love the mischievous look on Clark's face in your poster. Too cute. Oh, and Andreia, yours cracked me up - especially the one of the Prankster. <g>
Okay, here's my latest 3 offerings from the mind of Paul. When I found that picture of Lois with Resplendent Man, I had to laugh. Hope you enjoy!
These are great, this is my new obsession. I check compulsively for new posters. , if I had any talent or the right program I might try it but I think I will leave it to the experts. Kate
My sentiments exactly, I hate him. Clark should have got a second opinion.
And I know this one was a couple pages back, but the poster with the ring in space about the stuff you find floating around but I always wondered exactly how much stuff is floating around there that superman has tossed up, it seems that almost every episode he throws something out there . Anyways this is just me thinking too much about TV. Kate
But, meantime... maybe it's just the hour, but for some reason, I'm sensing a new poster in the works. Not from me, mind you. But, based on the last couple of posts, I'm getting a vague precognitive impression. Something involving ties and the words "lucky bastards." I could be wrong, though.
I've been in bed with a nasty cold for a few days so I've needed a good laugh. What a hoot! I think my favorite is "Wanda Detroit -- Because Wanda Ypsilanti just sounds silly."
Woody, I can't remember offhand of a time that "Clark" brought a pizza in. I do, however, remember "Lois" bringing a pizza over to Clark's apartment (in the Prankster).
Okay, here's one of my very own this time. But I must say a thank you to an admitted lurker 'Sue Zabell' for her inspiration that led to me doing this poster.
Wow I have brought this to 500 posts! For these two the full credit goes to Lara for pointing out the pics to use and the idea behind them. So Lara these are for you!
This first one the idea sprung from a conversation on MSN about the disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence.
This second one is pure fluff and I actually had to manipulate the pic so it would look like he was hanging from the ceiling, but Lara gave me the idea of flipping them around so he would hang upside down.
Here's one more from me today. The cap is a Japanese cartoon that I used to watch as a kid and haven't seen for a long time because I wasn't able to find it cheaply outside of Hong Kong. It's called Dr. Slump and is about Dr. Slump who is a professor and this robotic girl he's created. However, I was watching it and noticed this in one of the parts and just had to make a MP out of it because I thought it was funny! Hope you think so too.
Okay, pardon me for posting 5 here, I know that's a lot, but I'm leaving for Florida at noon and I wanted to get the final ones I had for Paul, posted. Here you go, Paul! Sorry I couldn't match some scenes exact - hope you still enjoy!!!
-- DJ <who is so excited - everyone have a great week!>
Ooops! I just THOUGHT I was done. <g> Low and behold, I go to check my e-mail and Woody had made 2 posters that he couldn't seem to get posted on here. He asked me to post them for him. Here you go Woody!
OK, finally made one of my own. Hope someone likes it. It's not exactly the picture I was looking for (wanted just a few frames before), but it's good enough.
Tried doing one myself. Took a while, but it was fun. As for the result... we'll see. Right now, with the sleep debt incurred from having my nephew over the last few days, it seems pretty fun.
Okay, so the NK one speaks for itself? Was wondering if I should have changed the title to "New Krypton" or added the words "to paraphrase Zara and Ching," but I kind of like it the way it is...
Anyway, in the meantime... I've really got to stop one of these days...
Paul - loved the Soul Mates posters, just too funny! ...I'm almost afraid to ask if that Samuel Beckett on the other is the one I think he is? The one with a buddy named Al and a girlfriend named Donna who looked so very much like Lois...? It cracked me up anyway.
Here's one, goes well with the other "cross-overs".
I've had this idea in my head for a while, but could not find a way to use the quote in a way that was meant for a general audience.... I finally managed to do it. *yes*
In Baby Gunderson topic, Sam Lane wasn't so far-out. This video on youtube shows a female android reporter. :p Surely Lois would get mad if her father were the inventor. But this android doesn't lighten up Christmas trees, I believe.
Hey... does anyone know where I can get a good shot of Dr Klein explaining something? Preferably with them looking bemused and lost at his explanation?
It'd be hard to convey that joke with still images.
And, as a good Pentecostal, I must quote one of my favorite Bible verses at you: "So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say you are out of your mind?" (1st Corinthians 14:23)
I never really noticed it before I started praying in tongues myself, but these days it cracks me up.
PJ who should perhaps mention she's loopy due to a severe cold...
I wanted to comment on behalf of Sue, that she can't see these posters. The firewall at her work blocks them and she has limited dial up at home. So when I see a good one, I download it and send it to her.
However...
I was out on vacation last week - so I'm just now seeing the "Cowbell" and "Ork" ones -- ha ha! Priceless.
I made sure to send these to Sue. I'm sure she'll love them.
Keep up the good work everyone! More! We need more!!!
Also, someone needs to do something with this one . I don't feel like I can do it justice right now. Maybe we should just post it to the caption competition instead?
I just had to post this picture *somewhere*. I've been staring at it for days. For days, I tell you. THAT is the reason I haven't been able to work or write or even concentrate at all over the last few days. That kiss...
I didn't come up with the caption. Jessi did last night (we've discussed this kiss for hours now. *lol*) When I logged on to MSN this morning and saw she had that as her tagline, I just totally could NOT help myself and so here it is on a poster.
If this motivates anyone, please tell me, cause the only thing it does to me is turn me into a useless, giggling moron... As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I would agree to just about anything while I'm staring at it - that's how distracted I get. *sigh*
/me dies of laughter from that last one. I wonder how many times he's forgotten about his powers, like that?
And I'm sure glad you girls liked that kiss, btw. Apologies to anyone who's missed a class, a bus or even lunch cause they were so busy staring at it. I've missed the better part of two days, myself. *lol*
Hello! I'm back! Once again to post one that belongs to someone else. I know, I'm totally being lazy.
This one is so good! Sue sent it to me and asked me to post it since she doesn't have photobucket. But she asked me to make sure I gave credit to Doublel for it since the images came from her. Sue got the idea from Doublel's pictures.
Okay, here's one that was co-created with Sue. We were talking about some of our favorite arm scenes, which lead to talk about about Clark's hands. And well, anyway, this picture came about. The caption came from Sue. Ha ha. I don't think she expected me to post it... but, oh well.
(Sorry the screen cap wasn't clearer -- ohhh, but those rolled up sleeves... drool)
ROTFL!! These latest ones are hilarious!!! Especially that Dark Alley one, Paul!
Speaking unofficially for the Alt-Kerth Committee, I'm sure we now have a new category! Who knows, we might be crazy enough to make two of it: Nekkid Clark Chest Posters and Not-Nekkid Clark Chest Posters.
Sara, you cracked me up SO bad with the nekkid and non-nekkid. ROFL! Now you just pray I don't come up with more reasons to bring the kiss back again. hehehe!
Well, are the "nekkid Clark posters" going to be up on supershirtlessclark.com? If so, then that just leaves the non-nekkid ones, and we could probably find somwhere to post THOSE all in the same place so they're easier to look at.
I took all the non-shirtless pics (*sob* I miss my precious shirtless Clarkie!) and stored them all on my server (meaning people with access issues for Photobucket and some such can still see these) and made quick and dirty web pages so you can view them. People on dialup will be happy to know that the pages aren't so big and the images showing up on them are small thumbnails - so you can click on only the images you want to see at their full size.
Ain't I just the sweetest? *lol* Sorries... getting a big head all on my own, I guess.
Shirtless pics will be posted on Jessi's supershirtlessclark website soon.
Oh!!! I missed a few images, because they showed up as little broken icons. I'll go back and add them when possible. And I promise to maintain this page and update it every chance I get with the new images. ...there was something else... Oh! The images on the pages aren't in any particular order, so don't think there is any meaning to the fact that this image is on page one while that one is on page 9. I really did not bother with that!!
And now that you've all skipped through my post anyway (it's like a read-me -- no one reads those!!) you can head on to: The LnC Motivation Poster Challenge Page
Oooh! Thank you, Lara! That's awesome! I just e-mailed the link to Sue in case she hadn't seen it. And I for one love that I can pop over to your website and look at them all together like that.
OMG - page 13... Oh, dear, I guess that means I'll have to bring out that kiss again sometime today or something. But I promise, it's just to break the spell of that unlucky 13... hehe. Yeah, I am a little bit evil, aren't I? *lol*
Sara - hey, I'm just all excited that you guys want to add this category to the alt-Kerths, cause those are really way too funny!
DJ - I totally agree, it's fun to see them all at a glance like that. Lacks comments of course, but nonetheless. When I update next time (with Paul's newest and hopefully the few that showed up as broken last night) I'll make sure I add a comment on every file so we know who made them. I wanted to do it last night, but at 1 AM, this is NOT a good project to start! Let's call it "I couldn't help doing it but it's still just a WIP"
Hey, btw. When we (Jessi & I) counted them last night, there were 260 "non-shirtless Clark" pics (not counting the ones I could not download) + 53 "shirtless Clark" pics. Does anyone else see this as meaning we need more eye-candy? *lol*
Go make posters, guys! Let's hurry over to page 14!
Lara, if you have trouble seeing some of my posters, let me know and I'll send it for you. Some of them aren't on your page, so I imagine you couldn't see them. You're doing a great work. Thank you for your effort.
Hi all! *Waves* I'm a bit new, but after seeing all these wonderful posts I had to make one too. LOL, maybe it will "motivate" me to finish my L&C story before Valentine's Day...
Andreia - yeah, I missed some of yours, but I'll go back and look once I'm done with tonight's workload. Then I'll update with all the new stuff.
OMG!!! LabRat - I just saw your sig. LOVE it!! You know... in my house, the absolute most common word is "indeed." I should mention we say it in a lower voice than our own and in a very neutral tone. We're a tiny bit deranged over here. But we love SG 1.
I have updated the non-shirtless images "website". The images are now shown in the order they were posted and they're all supposed to be there now. If there is any that I missed, let me know.
I've started adding comments so you know who posted what, but... oi... it's 272 images. I got tired of typing those real quick. I'll finish tomorrow (or something...) and add that to the next update. The comments are all *under* their pics - and I know how totally not obvious this all is cause the rows are in such close proximity, I'll fix it next update as well.
By the way, if you want another look at (only part, I'm afraid) of Dean's chest, he appears in the movie Rat Race, and it shows him wearing an unbuttoned shirt briefly.
And I have to remember to edit the page again to change all your submissions to the right username. :p
Woody - there are several shirtless scenes from his movies, actually. And a real sexy love scene in No Alibi. I'm sure we could go on forever posting new ones, if we tried. hehehe.
Okay, now we just CAN'T have this!!! We went a whole day without anyone posting a poster???
Sue and I were having a hilarious discussion about a scene from "Home Is Where The Hurt Is". I blame this next poster totally on her. She loved the capture, she came up with the caption.
It's all Sue. <g>
Oh, and she wanted me to say this next line before posting: "As Lois said in Ordinary People - I know it's not much to say, it's just all that I can say."
Hah! Woody! How indulgent of you to give us girls another shirtless Clark picture. Mmmmm.... Oh and the Mxy one was good too - very cute.
Okay FoLCs Woody told me he had an idea for another poster - he got the idea from the picture I posted with the "Flying - Save A Plane, Ride a Superman".
So he gave me his idea for the poster and I paired it with the pic. Thanks Woody - too funny! (So Lara, this one goes to Woody on your web page):
Oh, yay! posters! I'm sitting here all alone in a hotel room, with a piece of cheesecake (hey, I deserved one!) and I was somewhat depressed... you know, it's valentine's day and all that. It really sucks to be here alone tonight. eh.
Anyway....... thanks for the laughs.
"Golly" is just about all I could say to that, too. Oh my!
Woody, you almost made me choke on my coffee. That MXYZ one was sooooo funny! This is definitely one of my favs. Thanks fo the shirtless pic.
Alayna - I'll be waiting for that response. hehehe!
And I'll update the webpage with the new stuff when I'm back home. We're leaving in the morning, but there's supposed to be more snow storms on the way... wish us luck...
Ive been lurking on this thread since the very begining and I can't tell you how many times you guys have made my day. This is in honor of the new part of 50 first dates, not very funny but I couldn't help myself.
From WWW - Clark smashing the phone - I can think of a caption, but if anyone cares to do this, I bet she can come come up with a good caption too. Sadly, Clark is wearing a shirt in this scene, though.
Oh, does anyone know where the cap of Superman crushing a cell phone in front of Lois is from? She's got short hair, so it's season 3 or 4. If you need to know which one I'm referring to, it's at the 20-22 second mark of the old Holding out for a hero music video made by Andrea in 2004.
The image is from I've Got You Under My Skin (season 4), when that old man (don't remember the character's name) was in Clark's body and he found out that Lois knew he wasn't Clark.
Yeah, that looks like the picture Woody is looking for.
Carol - if you want to do your own poster, Woody pasted the link to the motivator in his post above. And I found the screen capture you're looking for on the LNC archive. Copy and paste the link below into a browser and scroll down towards the bottom of the screen, there are several to pick from.
omg! DJ - I think I just died of laughter. ...and now, I'm in Poster Heaven. Hang on, there has to be a better place than that to be in... Shirtless Clark Posters Heaven. Yep. Much better!
EDIT: Woody - good one. All we need now is a "Can you hear me now?" to make a set. ROFL!
Oh wow DJ those were great and Woody's yours was really funny too, you guys cracked me up. I'm glad my poster was liked and I even brought somebody out of lurkdome, I feel special.
I think I'm seriously gonna hafta give this here a try!
Buuut for now (since at the moment I'm at work and sadly photoshopless) I'll probably just settle for looking back and giggling again at all of these. =D
(Oh! MetroRhodes, I currently have the f...fished one as the wallpaper here at work. BWAH! I'll... probably go through seeeveral new desktop images today.)
And Catherine, you don't need PhotoShop, just need to be able to find & upload a screen cap to the site that then puts the poster together for you. And then upload the resulting picture somewhere so you can link to it from here. Which you may still not be able to do from work but I thought I'd mention it...
Ambar that is PRICELESS. It's even *more* funny to me because I'm working on a Global Warming campaign for a social design group! Shame that can't be my tagline when I'm brainstorming this afternoon. <g>
Okay. We really need another motivational poster here FoLCs. Come on - I know someone is just dying to post one. I looked at the post # and realized there were 665 posts... I decided maybe that number was scaring everyone off... so I thought I'd just get the next post out of the way.
Ok - so that's done. Now someone get back here with a new poster!
Ok, now that the boards are back up, I'll be the first to repost my poster. <g> Woody, I believe you had one and Andreia I know you had a couple - I'm not sure what else we're missing... please repost!
The boards are back and me too. Thanks for reposting your post DJ. What a amazing way to come back. Yep, I've got a couple of posters and I'm reposting them.
This was mine, but it doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense without the preceding conversation, which was lost in the crash.
In response to Andreia's Strip Poker one, I asked why Clark claimed in Ultra Woman that he wore briefs when we only ever saw him in boxers. Then DJ said that question warranted a poster. So I made one.
And then I added: "We've progressed from his chest to his crotch, yay!"
Oh, dear God!!! I *knew* I should not have wandered here while at work! We're going to have all sorts of pictures of underwear, now... Man... you guys are killing me!
I was going to do an update of the page this weekend, but now I'm thinking that looking at these images might kill me! AGH!
..and I got caught doing them, too - a guy came in my office while I was cropping the image for the second one. They used to think I had a thing for Superman - I'm guessing now they think I've got a thing for Superman's... thing.
BTW - I'm sure I don't *have* to, but I'd like to attract your attention to the shadow on the second image. I rest my case.
Heh heh. Actually there was a rumor going on that they had to digitially reduce the size of Brandon's... package. I don't remember if it turned out to be true, though.
Actually there was a rumor going on that they had to digitially reduce the size of Brandon's... package. I don't remember if it turned out to be true, though.
Yeah, I heard that one, too. But apparently, it's an urban legend.
At first I was going to do a "landscape" of all the Superman ..um.. packages... *lol* 'cause most of the guys are so flat, you really have to wonder where they hid it. Seriously! But then... I saw this pic of Chris Reeve and I hit my head on the floor as I fell over. I swear, that picture I saw: HOLY CR*P!
Oh, my gosh, Lara that one about Brandon not measuring up was hilarious - and oh, so obvious. It seems really funny now what was being said about him last summer....
And then I added: "We've progressed from his chest to his crotch, yay!" [Goofy]
Hey, they don't call it the happy trail for nothin'.
I have to admit I haven't payed much attention to this thread lately. I just hit what I can when my internet is up. *Clearly* I've missed this whole new interesting train of thought we're all on!
And then I added: "We've progressed from his chest to his crotch, yay!" [Goofy]
ROTFL!!! I died laughing when I read this! to make some posters, though they're not all exactly crotch pictures. The last two are, uh... if you'll excuse the expression
...and I have to say thanks for posting something other than crotch shots - cause I was really starting to feel bad about staing at the man's package like that. Seriously! I swear!
We're awful, aren't we? staring like that is if he's a piece of meat? Man, I really feel bad about this now...

I have to admit that all of these posters were making me feel very uncomfortable, on the basis that I can't help wondering how we'd react if this was guys posting close-up pictures of Lois's cleavage with similar comments.

Awwww, don't go spoiling our fun, Wendy . Personally, I don't think I would mind similar Lois posters. For instance, the shot of her at the bottom of the slide in IOG comes to mind as a poster waiting to be made .
Wendy brought a good point and since I'm all for equality this was the only fair thing to do. Someone already made a poster with Lois at the bottom of the slide but I'm sure the guys would agree that this pic is more um fair
No one wants to be a party pooper. However...can we remember that this section of the forum has a PG13 limit? Some of the most recent posters sail very close to that line. It wouldn't take much to career over it entirely. And it's probably better to be pre-emptive than to get to the point where the line is crossed and posters start having to be deleted.
It might be better if you set up a companion poster thread in the nfic folder and posted the raunchier stuff there. That way the ratings limits aren't breached, but you can still post and enjoy to your drooling little hearts' desires.
Hi I'm new here:p I've been visiting here for a couple of times and reading the messages. But when I saw this one I just had to register because these are really SUPER;)and I just had to say it!!
has anybody made a avater of the: watch out there's nothing more detemined as poultry with a plan? It's one of my favorites. And it would be nice if someone could make an avater of that one.

Go for it, boys and gals! Interesting scene on the Superman montage. Tom Welling is in jeans. But do remember that on TV, he had a totally nekkid backside on the beginning of - what?- Season 4? When Lois first ran into him in the cornfield. Later on in the hospital he was admiring a - statue?, painting? - and dropped his blanket. You can tell I don't remember much about the scene except for him!
What can I say? I HATE heels and refuse to wear them. If I never had to walk in them, I might reconsider. And if wearing them got me where Lois is? Definitely would go shopping for stilettos!
LOL, is it just me or has this thread gotten a bit steamy?
Jackie!! I totally agree with you about heels, but I've been forced to wear them. I had to dance in 1 1/2 inch heels for a musical I was in and really didn't like them. However, it is nice to have them for dressing up...
Anyway, here's my next poster! I'm afraid it's not the steamyest, but I love this scene! It begged me to use it.
oh, man... could I be her? Just for a second... A single, short second, to be her in that picture.
*sigh*
/me looks around for a spot to hide... I said I'd update my page last weekend, didn't I? And I didn't.... mmm... When I boot the beast, up in the office today, I'll get right on that. I promise!!
oh, man... could I be her? Just for a second... A single, short second, to be her in that picture.
*sigh*
I want to trade places with her too, Lara. These latest posters are great. I thought of one if anyone wants to do it, I dont have the software. Its the scene from HiM when Clark sits on the bomb in couch, the caption would say something with buns of Steel in it. BTW, what is you signature from, Lara?
Daisymay - you don't need any software. *g* Just get the picture (from an archive site, there are many...) and then go to this website and you can make the poster there.
All the non-shirtless Clark images up to this post are there. They don't all have a caption to say who made the image yet, I'm working on that. I've spiffied the page up a bit, though.
And now for a new poster... This is the first idea that popped into my head when I woke up from a nap a few minutes ago. Enjoy!
Lol! to Sociopathy. I was a a Dairy Queen the other day and I saw REAL motivational posters on the walls and I just started laughing my head off thinking about how ours were just a little better.
well, I'll be! That's the episode I was just watching!
(and it's so incredibly horrible I almost choked to death... had to put on one of the good ones so I'd forget... *but* the shirtless part was SO worth it, though!!!)
That last one? Faster Than a Speeding Vixen. At the end of it. The rest of that ep isn't really worth watching, anyway, IMHO....... (and I"m sorry I said that, but really, it's *bad*)
he does, doesn't he? *dreamy sigh* I've got a wallpaper with that pic, btw... if you'd like to have it, maybe? I have it in 4:3 and 16:9 (widescreen) I can post both tonight when I get home. Come to think of it, I could make more, even. *lol*
Love that lil rat running under your posts. Too cute!!
I haven't gotten beyond using my SG1 wallpaper - can't bear to part with it. But posting yours is a great idea! I'm sure there are others who'd love it!
The rat is actually very old. I used him years back under my posts and when I was clearing out some old files from my hd today I found him again, thought he was kind of cute, and resurrected him. Quite surprised the link still works, actually!
The link still works because it's my photo website, Rat! I uploaded it there for you a couple of years ago because the site you originally got it from had stopped external linking or something.
Hi I'm new and I'm learning how to make pics from other pics. I saw this thread and I thught of a manip. that I made a few weeks ago. I hope you enjoy it. I have two other scenes for this pose. As well as the CR (Superman) and MK (Lois Lane) (I made for someone who adores MK and CR as Lois and Superman) and then I also have BR (Superman and KB (Lois Lane) as well. Same pose with the same three backgrounds. None of these have borders or captions. I just put a border and caption for this one for this thread. Let me know if you like it.
Oh if someone wants to they can write a fanfic for this picture. Me, I love to read smut, but I can't write it!
I've been reading this thread for a couple of days now, and have finally (with all my free time) got to the end. I have been laughing SO hard throughout this entire thread. I'm sure my family think I'm crazy! Now, I've used the links provided (screencaps, motivator creator, photo bucket etc) to create this. And you know...it's a late night thing. I don't know if anyone else will find it funny (you'll get it if you've seen the tagline for the show 'Heroes').
Lol aww, it's my favorite too! Or one of them. Up in the top... 3. Anyway, those were really good! I'm saving them to add to my screensaver. :p I think I need to go make a few... these look fun.
Aww, thanks for liking my 'Hero' one guys. As I said, it was a late night thing. I wasn't sure everyone else would think it was funny
Here's another one. I thought I'd continue the 'arms' fanaticism. I apologise profusely that Dean's face is not part of the picture. I couldn't find one where it was.
Just when I start to worry that this thread is dying down... along come terrific new posters!
Fallen is hysterical, False Advertisment made me laugh out loud. Leverage? Superman don't need no stinking leverage The cooking one raised a wistful sigh... Keys is priceless, and I *love* the look on Lois's face as she enjoys the arm!
Oh, goody! More posters! LOL on the Heros one, that was great! I love the arms one, and yeah, cooking is just the frosting on the cake with that (super)man!
Haha!! Clark's not in that closet... He's still at Sue's. I love it, Supersweet. I love the other ones, too - especially the ones about the eyes and the buns.
Just a suggestion, but has there been one done for Clark Kent's ties yet? I can't remember there having been one, but I can't say for certain... 16 pages of thread is too much for me to re go through, lol.
I finally got the shirtless motivational posters up at the Shirtless Clark site !
Just go to the site, click gallery, then motivational posters. I ordered them under usernames, because that just seemed the easiest way to get them up. So you might want to check out your page and make sure I didn't make any mistakes (missing a poster, poster that's not yours, ect). I went through them pretty quickly so it's entirely possible I screwed up somewhere along the way.
You know, Lara, I've never had much of a problem with Scardino, but if I was going to, that photo with the flowers would definitely encourage it. There's a face you'd never get tired of slapping.
Because I miss the motivational posters and because that new ork! avatar is too friggin funny also because Sue rocks and Faustian Bargain made my summer last year but mostly because I'm bored and doing something productive would be so cliche. (Dont you love my run on sentence )
My window is open, and I'm positive that my neighbors are questioning my sanity as I'm laughing my head off! No, seriously--they must think I'm loony about now.
Oh, I'm going to fall out of my chair laughing! I love the seals! Yeah, maybe I'll brainstorm this week for a new poster...I was just thinking about the inactivity....
*lol* I wore the shirt at an off-site activity we had with the guys at work, last fall -- and when asked, I gave people weird looks, rolled my eyes and asked how come they hadn't read Faustian Bargain. (*giggles* and a few drinks later, I explained exactly what it meant... and everyone laughed.)
Yes, it is 'Big Bed'. Part 2 is up to 7-8 pages now [and actually, the way it's going, could end up being 4 parts].
And then my sister called and wants to take 2 kids for a night, but not the other one [the 2yo, not the baby] and I know 3 kids is a lot for someone who doesn't have them, but she only ever takes the bigger 2 because she doesn't like the 2yo and the other kids are starting to ask why she doesn't like their little sister and she wants to move to some other part of the country. *sigh* And now I'm waiting for DH to call back and I think I hear the bus [with DD6yo]. Yep - that was her and she won the CARE award this week . [Don't ask me how...]
So, I'm thinking a motivational poster of some kind with the pics from the other thread- you know the ballet ones, but with Lois' face on the lady's body.
/me still ponders it and the possibility of a FFP comes to mind as well... Carol
So, I'm thinking a motivational poster of some kind with the pics from the other thread- you know the ballet ones, but with Lois' face on the lady's body.
That would be awesome! Oh gr8!!!?? Yoo hoo. Can we borrow you from James for a bit?
LOL!!! I love it!!! Too bad it's not Lois' face on there... That's way beyond my skills with a computer. And I really didn't have any idea what the caption should say.
/me will continue to ponder as she works on fic and assorted other things - part 2 is up to 10 pagesish
I don't know about you, but I could really use some motivation right about now - and gracious me decided to share my secret source of motivation with you
That picture might be from Special Unit 2, which is a great show, btw, it's one of my most favourite bad TV programmes ever.
Actually it was from Michael's guest stint on Ghost Whisperer. I've always liked his Jimmy more than Justin's so I do try and catch him on TV if I notice that he's on.
Ok so I'm on the boards and I think "cool the motivational posters have been resurrected...again.How many times has that happened already?" and then I see this...

C_A: your meta-motivational posters are great *yay* and this thread is full of fabulous posters by you (also loved "Frogs - because anyone can jump a shark" )
BJ: dysfunctional, indeed
gr8shades: you crack me up especially love "seeing double", "shirtless Lex" and "shirtless Clark"
Originally posted by LabRat: OMG, you guys are killing me! And that Lex one was seriously twisted. (Where's a barf emoticon when you need one...eeeeeeeeeeeyew!)
I even had a couple flashes of inspiration myself a while ago and was ready to run off to BanAnna's site to get caps [or at least type them out so I wouldn't forget them when I have time to work on them] but I have since forgotten them [something about kids making a big playdoh mess then refusing to help DH clean it up and a 4yo jumping over her baby brother and so on].

ROTFL Labby! I was thinking the same thing!
These are all so SUPER! You should make a book of them.
Originally posted by gr8shadesofElvis: Doesn't fill out the briefs quite as well as Clark does.
lol - but now that you mention it, it's shockingly obvious that you are right. In fact, is "obvious" even the right word when you can't see *anything*? Just goes to show what a fake he truly was: his real name wasn't even Lex, it was Ken No wonder he never pressed the intimacy issue with Lois ...
Jimmy Olsen....my, but he is rather cute, isn't he?
I have to confess that I'm a huge fan of Justin Whalen - not because he's cute - but because of a guest spot he once did on my second favourite show, The Young Riders, where he was just superb. One of my favourite ever episodes.
But, you know...that poster might just have me reconsidering my allegiance.
I love this thread. Thanks to all for the wonderful posts.
Gr8Shades: I laughed so hard at the "Dumbest Plan Ever" poster. I've always wondered how they would recycle such a risky scheme and get away with it again. I've also never seen any fanfic about the second time going awry or a rewrite where Clark comes up with a less dangerous plan. It's always bugged me. Also, I love the "Advice" and "Live your dreams" posters. Wonderful!
In keeping with the current theme, here's Lex Luthor's take on life after death.
Heee! I love that this thread is living again - these posters are way too much fun!
Eva - the doors image... would you believe I only ever noticed that the pattern on there are fish when I was working on my Paralyzer video? I'd never seen that before... I suppose I was looking at something else, huh?

fish? what fish? *scrolls back up
ah, those, uh, I mean, I already knew that - duh!
gr8shades: love "advice"
BJ: yeah, that slime grosses me out a little
cheese: just what this thread was missing: a little ole Ralph bashing - well done
great so many are joining in on the motivational poster challenge thread resurrection party (a catchy name if there ever was one)
Catherine: especially loved "our Clark - your Clark" and "Bat Hearing: Did LL just call CK Superman?"
CG: thanks for using Michael Rosenbaum again - I don't watch Smallville, but he sure is the yummiest Lex I've ever seen (and oddly enough looks better bald than with hair )
Before I'll go visit a friend for a couple of days, I thought I'd share another pic from the overrated series, which I forgot to post earlier. It's not very funny, but hey, there can never be enough scantily clad Clark in a thread ...
Just after I posted the last one, I had an unexpected stroke of inspiration (or something else, I've worked for more than 14 hours pretty much straight today, so I really wouldn't know).
They might not seem so funny when I come back, so I'll post them now
Something happened to your picture. Can't see it anymore (only the "-"). If I right-click on the image positioner "-" and try to "View Image", it asks me to save the picture.

Wow, I hadn't noticed this thread was revived... had way too much fun catching up
And now I've got lots more material for my screen saver! Though I have to be careful which ones I pick; my pre-teen kids are reading them sometimes... but anyway, keep it up, y'all!
I couldn't see TJ's poster, either. However, I looked up the URL, and it allowed me to download it. I think that's why it's not showing directly here. And TJ is probably able to see it since she's logged into the site. Just my 2 cents.
Anyway, to make it easier for all of you, I've uploaded to poster on photobucket. So here is TJ's poster:
But I'm weird that way. I don't mind other women being interested in my man, I just don't like other men being interested in his girl. (So I suppose I agree on the Dan thing.)
Okay, I asked opinions (who shall remain nameless. Protect the guilty, and all!) on whether or not this should get posted. They said it didn't look that bad.
It seems you have linked the page to create the posters, not the final result (check the "Properties" of the "image" on this page by right-clicking on the "-" and you will see that the link is not a picture). After you create the motivational poster, that page should give you addresses above the final image. Copy the link for "URL", add ".jpg" at the end and paste here with the "Image" button.
lisime12,
You can do the same thing as I described above, and the large image (not the thumbnail size link) will show up.
malu
P.S.: You can "edit" you post instead of putting a new one by clicking on the "Edit" link above your post.
Awww - I was just thinking that!!! But you beat me to it .
/me wonders if Alt-Ks will have a motivational poster category [or four - best shirtless clark MP, best supporting character MP, best overall - or hey there could be MP Kerths this year ]. Carol
Hey, that Kerth one gives me an idea. What about motivational poster style awards for the Kerth winners? One for each award? They'd probably be better posted in the FoLC Productions folder than here, as they wouldn't really be MPs, but the MP website should make designing them easy.
Ok this might not make sense (unless it's you Lara), but I blame allergies and the late hour conversation on MSN for this one. Lara and I got to talking about having fish as pets since you can't have any cute furry animals if you are allergic. Anyway I mentioned that we can name them Lois and Clark and then it grew from there.
Oh dear, how did I ever miss seeing that incredible ham shrink-wrapped in black spandex in the left pic? *fans self* Dress pants and jeans are great, but WHY didn't they include the black suit more??? Oh right, family show :p
Well, the scene does go by really fast. I did my screen captures one frame at a time. OMG... That black suit left almost nothing to the imagination. (Poor guy. Lucky us!)
This one is your fault...
Problem is... I can think of several HUNDRED photos from the show that could go with THAT caption. May-be we need a "Beefcake" poster thread?
I do my posters in Photoshop (obviously) and then go to PhotoBucket.com to upload them.
Forgive me if I'm going into too much detail about basics which you may already know... After I import the photos, there is button there that says "Generate HTML and IMG codes" and I push it. It gives me code selections and I choose the IMG code for message boards. Then paste that code into the post.
I imagine it's the same with Flickr... You'll have to upload the photo to a host and have them generate a IMG code for you to use.
I think one of the reasons I like this scene (besides the OBVIOUS) is that I've always liked period stories... My boyfriend and I even like dressing up for Renaissance Fairs. He has an amazing outfit and can totally pull off the tights! Lucky me.
Someone said this on the boards a long time ago and I thought it was so funny I haven't been able to forget it. If you know who it was please let me know so I can give the proper credit.
Oh, and the "leverage" comment was mine, I think... Early in this thread, if I recall. Well, first couple of pages, anyway. Definitely less than 10... um, okay, maybe halfway down page 16... gosh how time flies...
It was moved to FoLC Productions shortly after it was started. Perhaps it was started in Off Topic and thats why you thought it was there. Unfortunately some pictures are missing - or the old laptop I had to borrow until I've mine back can't show them. Is there a way to find those and repost them?
Thanks, LabRat, for thinking to bump this thread and thanks, Kathryn, for finding it and bringing it to the fore. I hadn't seen it before, and I enjoyed more than one laugh while reading it. I think my favourites may have been the Diet (ain't nothing like the real thing) and the recurring characters (having better disguises), but I enjoyed most of the posters.
I have a few ideas for motivational posters, but I do not have any desire to subscribe to any photo hosting sites. I'd be happy to pass my ideas along to anyone who might wish to create some posters.
Am not up for image manipulation my self right now, but... (borrows image from previous post)
We so need this two Loises next to each other, one having a frog-leg sticking out of her mouth. As for the tag-line... Two's better than one. Take one, get one for free. See? You can hardly see any difference at all.
And of course, the duplicates-image merged with the Loises: And that's why you should register.
This is the best thread ever! Loved that it was re-resurrected and loved the fly spraying motivational poster - the others were also full of awesomeness but this one cracked me up. How many fly spraying news did they have on the DP throughout the show?
Love all these! If I could do an expression for every one of them...
-- Mouserocks (who's too lazy to get invested enough in this idea to take the time it takes to open up photoshop on this time-eating-sleep-depriving death machine... though I am planning to get back to it when my muse releases me from this one story i'm working on)
