Oh, the irony of that was just so painful. You did a wonderful job of making Lois a believable drunk without making her a caricature. (It took me five tries to spell that word right. Sheesh.) And she's such a sympathetic character here. Very nice.

I love that she gives him the right answer, one that makes him understand that her obsession with Superman isn't entirely superficial. And Clark knows she's probably too drunk to dissemble, so he believes her... and WAFFY hopefulness ensues smile .
