How much worse to have unexplained superpowers all at once?
Clark’s heart melted at Jesse’s trusting smile. It didn’t matter that he wasn’t his son. Whether caused by experiment or force of nature, they would discover the cause. Whatever the consequence, Superman would never abandon him.
