Without the surgery, Lesley would have been stuck taking care of a man-child for the rest of her life. He saw a way of alleviating that, but didn't know the extent of how much it would help.

This thread has made me want to read the books again. I'll have to put it on my reading list, and really makes me want to get the Emily books.
