Injustice

[Linked Image]

Set five years after Delusions of Grandeur. Lois Lane finds herself and her family in the cross-hairs of a political scandal when she tries to help find a missing girl. Heartache and intrigue follow as she and Clark find themselves battling a system built to protect the innocent when it becomes obvious the system is corrupt.

You have set yourself a mighty task, Folc. It will not be easy to maintain the tension in such a dramatic story over the long haul, but I'm sure you can handle it. I won't leave comments on this yet - I have to go back and reread Delusions of Grandeur, since I don't remember it that well. Just from glancing at the previous tale, though, it appears that you've expanded on the ending quite a bit. And that's not a complaint, I assure you. I just hope I can carve out enough time to get it done soon. Please continue with Injustice - from this little taste, it looks really good.

Got an idea of length yet?

Hey Terry! wave

Yes, it will be a roller coaster of a fic but it's completely mapped out and full of fun bumps along the way too. smile

Happy Reading!

Yes, there were certain parts I specifically left out of Delusions with the purpose of having them land in this tale. I hope you enjoy them! The last chapter of Delusions can be seen sprinkled into this teaser. Very purposeful.

I hope so too! It is a gripping tale, but it does have a happy ending. smile

The muse is very interested in finishing up this tale. No plans on stopping anytime soon.

I don't have a full chapter count but I am guessing between 20 and 25 chapters based on how much is left to cover.

Digging a little deeper into the Intergang angle and a little bit of fun with Jon.

“The nerve of them.” Stern continued, tapping his chest proudly. “They want to accuse me of slander? Me? They run tabloid trash. I run organizations that report the news.” Stern’s face grew grim and he pointed to the door. “You may want to close the door, Perry.”

“What seems to be going on, Mr. Stern?” Perry asked, walking toward the door to close it.

Stern waited for the door to close and then took his seat, leaning back in the leather seat with a frown. “The Daily Planet is being sued.”

One of the things I love about this chapter is the opening interplay between Perry and Franklin Stern. It reminds me of the fantastic scene they shared in the first season. Most folks are not aware of just how incredible it was to have two such accomplished actors working together like that. It is a pity Lane Smith and James Earl Jones did not have more screen time together. They made it look easy!

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Hey Morgana wave

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. Yeah, I absolutely loved the exchange between these two at the end of HoL and really wish we could have gotten more on screen time from them. These legends played off one another so well. I'm so glad you liked this bit I tried to show Franklin Stern and Perry's underlying friendship here and am glad it came across.

Chapter 8 is up for everyone. Thanks for reading and hope you all enjoy!

Hey everyone! wave

Posting early due to the long weekend. Hope everyone enjoys. Chapter 9 is up. I have also updated the TOC to include all the chapter titles to come. We're almost at the halfway point.

Let me know what you all think. A bit of a different take on the takedown of the Churches. smile

Chapter 11 is up...all the way now. Thanks Annette for your help in troubleshooting the post length issues.

Anyway lots of twists going on this chapter. Hang on. The next few chapters are going to be a bit bumpy.

It was a fascinating study in contrasts. The happy life Jon has with his parents and grandparents and this poor girl Ingrid struggling to stay alive.

Chilling...

Hey Morgana wave

I'm glad to see that contrast came across well. It is a tragic history Ingrid has had to endure but she has grown stronger which I'm sure you'll notice with each chapter.

Chapter 13 is up and comes with a major WHAM alert and TRIGGER warning. Let me know your thoughts all.
