Lois doesn't know that Perry and Alice have been kidnapped, or about the Smiley Instutite and their "Noah's Ark" project. As far as Lois knows (anyone knows) the rain is just rain; another big storm like the one that struck the night of Luthor's White Orchid Ball, all those years ago.
