I haven't seen the Batman movie, but I think Ledger put in an extremely fine performance in Brokeback Mountain.
I know nothing about the exact cause of his death. I would like to point out, however, that it is possible to take far too many drugs even if they have been prescribed to you. It has been reported that Elvis took no less than about 5,000 pills, all properly prescribed by his doctor, during the last week of his life.
