Yeah, but 'quickie' no-fault divorces are still possible if 'the character'
goes to Nevada, say, and stays there for six weeks. Bingo - she's free. Go for a 'fault' divorce and it's all tied up with lawyers and courts for months, maybe a lot longer.
If the issue is violence, attempted murder, whatever,
far better to let the police deal with it and get your quickie divorce quietly on the side. Just IMO!
