I really like this part. The angst was wonderful. I did not have a problem with them having sex. They are obviously still Lois and Clark and are attracted to each other. But Clark is angry and Lois is feeling bad (which she should).
'He shook his head sadly. “No. You don’t understand. If we continued, it would just be sex.”
This is very telling about where they are. This is all Clark can give her. The 'sex' might help them both to heal. I believe it is more than sex for Clark and he just can not admit it to himself or Lois. I would love to 'hear' his thoughts concerning this.
