Sorry its taken so long to get back to you. RL has been rather brisk lately.

A) Clark was not abandoned without good cause, at the time Jor-El launched his son's tiny ship it truly seemed as if the destruction of Krypton was only minutes away. If Jor-El could have safely returned the ship he would have done so. The narrative makes it pretty clear that he (and Lara) suffered for that decision for years afterwards.

B) Once father and son meet they will be happy to set aside any need for forgiveness and learn about each other.
