That was certainly not who I was suspecting it to be! Well done.
Jor-El is so inscrutable in the messages we see in “The Foundling” that it’s hard to tell what kind of person he is, other than his determination to save Kal-El. I wish we’d learned more about him in the series. Your story is an interesting take.
I love the bit about Krypton not exploding for another ten years.
