My thoughts on this one were that Silas is living in a society that has no crime, no one up to anything bad or sneaky...so his instincts for that kind of thing would certainly be dulled. I'm so delighted that everyone is having as much fun with this story as I've had reading it while beta reading for CC. It's been a joy to follow this one.
