TOCI would like to thank Sue S. for inspiring me to get my WAFF on with her wonderful WAFFy story All I Want (For Christmas) . But I also need to thank my WAFF instructors: Bob B., Mrs. Luthor, Deadly Chakram, Tank, Artemis, and Mouserocks. I hope I did everything you told me. Once again, this story probably would have ended up on the cutting room floor if it hadn't been for my wonderful and talented Beta, IolantheAlias (hope you like the little extras I added since you last read it  ). Wow, all that gratitude is almost longer than my story.  If I succeeded at getting your Awwwwwwwwww, please let me know. If I didn't, please let me know where I lost it!  No writing exercise works, if one does not learn from ones mistakes. Thank you.

Oh yeah. That was some good WAFF. /happy sigh I loved this more in touch with her feelings/confident Lois. For a second before she kissed him, I thought she was realizing he looked A LOT like Superman...  And I love that she didn't regret kissing him... though who knows what panic the morning may bring. Write another WAFFY one please!!

Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!  Great job! Loved the story and Lois' admission that Clark won out over Superman. For a moment there, though, I was worried that Clark's hard head had knocked some memories loose... but I guess it just knocked some sense into her.

Wow! Thanks for the response everyone.  I'm glad to start your February off with a little romance. Stephnachia: Sometimes it takes a little bump on the head to see what was in front of our eyes all the time. Write another WAFFY one please!! Well, thanks. I'll add that request to my list. The next story I'll be posting may cross the WAFF threshold, but only inadvertently. It will be everything I wrote to try to get to this scene (which is FINALLY how I pictured it in my head  ), but ended up dropping on the cutting room floor due mostly to lunkheadedness, I won't say who's. I remembered that 'Less is More' and that Sue S.'s story was only the one scene, so I dropped everything else but the one scene. Yea! It still worked! It posts closer to Valentine's Day for those requiring lunkheadedness and jump-the-shark humor with their romance. Ultra Woman: Thank you.  Mrs. Luthor: Thank you. My pleasure to start your day with a Clark would probably end up thinking it was from the kiss. :rolleyes: Lynn: Yes, Thank you! I had some great teachers. Jackiek: Thank you. I always wondered what happened at the end of L&C's date that made her walk into her apartment with that secretive smile on her face. Laura: Thank you. More coming (see above) soon. Joan: Thank you. Whew! Finally made it in here to read. Better late than never... He felt satisfaction at Perry’s words; the Chief must mean them if he compared his reporter to Elvis. Luckily for him, Lois was good at filling silences. “Don’t you mean, without me you wouldn’t have your shiny new dust collector?” Her heart rate had doubled, trying to outrace his. Just like Lois – always having to win. What a great WAFFy tale! I think I have to go stand out in the cold night air for a few minutes though - that was some hot kiss!

Deadly Chakram: Thank you for all the FDK. <prods Virginia to use this as a jumping off point for the *other* side of the fan fics boards> Let's just say this story is PG, the cutting room floor story is a bit more PG-13. (See how I'm building it up; that way I'll be guaraunteed at least one  for how groanworthy horrible it is ) And once he learns it, he'll know 348 different languages? But who's counting? Love this. And I love the section before - each kiss put into words, and why they weren't the "first kiss." That eidetic memory has to be good for reminiscing.

This was great and very WAFFy. I loved this line - He could ride in the cab with her to her apartment and then float on home. I wasn't sure if you meant literally or figuratively, but loved it mainly as it worked both ways.

So, what do have here? Perry chuckled as he, Lois, and Clark walked out of the Awards banquet. In Clark’s arms he cradled the Kerth award for his story on the nursing home scandal. Ooooh! Since the moment he had picked Lois up and saw her with her hair swept up off her neck and that black-as-the-night’s-sky evening gown, with that pendant on her décolleté. His eyes had been fixed on her all evening and his tongue tied. Michael
