I think the finger thing was when L&C were in town and Clark got a paper cut on his finger. Lois was confused about his reaction to such a normal thing and told him to stick it in his mouth and suck on it. A favorite line for nfic writers to play with  PJ
"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
