Thankfully, Clark doesn't need to prove conclusively that he didn't shoot Mayson--he just needs to introduce enough doubt that a jury won't convict him.
HappyGirl, I respectfully disagree. Maybe legally Clark will be in the clear with reasonable doubt, but given his profession, he needs to be proven innocent and not just "not guilty." He and Lois constantly are in touch with the police; certainly they would never trust Clark again if there is a smidgen of doubt. He wouldn't be able to do his job.
