He raised his gaze up from his hands and to Lois. He knew, if he had it over to do again, he would. The last ten days of working, talking, laughing, and – okay, he was going to admit it – arguing with Lois have been some of the most satisfying days of his past year, not to mention the last twenty-four hours of being able to fly with Lois.
It seems like people almost always say "to do over again".

Back where I come from, they call someone that sneaky and manipulative a ‘Mad Dog’; maybe we should start calling you that too.”
that line about Clark alone probably postponed Clark having any non-SM chances with Lois significantly.
Self-preservation took over. He automatically shook his head. “You’ve got be kidding, Lois. How would I know that?”
I am pretty sure he would say "got to be kidding" or "gotta be kidding".
