I was wondering how you were going to get Jimmy and Lois out of this without Superman. Jimmy's father was a nice touch.
This cracked me up:

I hate to say this, because I really can't stand Dan, but it doesn't seem like Lois gave him a fair chance. Of all people she knows you have to go with the story. Of course, I can't say that I'll miss him much...
She had thought about driving all the way from Metropolis, but after looking at the map, she determined it would take a minimum of two twelve-hour days in the car – one-way – just to get to Smallville.
I always wondered where Metropolsis was relative to Smallville. For some reason, I think of it as Chicago but that's not quite right.
Sounds like something's up with Clark's parents.
