At some point your Clark has to get over himself.
How about he grabs the guy flies up a few hundred feet and says "Oops" drops the guy after locking on his heartbeat, flies down catches him flies back up and offers a repeat of the "oops"?
Or flies half way around the world, calls Henderson and then flies back dropping off the idiot?
