I have to admit that I don't know quite what to think about this exchange:
As she met his gaze, Lois slowly stilled, “Please... don’t fall for me... Clark... I can’t...I don’t have time for it...”
Clark closed the distance between them and pressed his lips to her forehead, “Too late...” he breathed.
I had been under the impression that Lois was more interested than that. I like Clark's more direct reaction but again, the exchange felt... well, odd.
It *does* make for an interesting twist on the original.
