Clark is a complete idiot if he thinks he can keep Lois out of danger by not dating her. Was he not paying attention to the Messenger shuttle incident, or Lois being thrown out of a plane, or Mr. Makeup, or the Prankster, etc
So interesting of you to bring that up. I have just such a line planned for later in the story (oh, and let's not forget about Miranda - the perfumist - trying to boil her in some nasty looking liquid because she wanted Lex. :-)
