Yeah, I've got to go with Roger and James on this one. Mayson served some positive plot purpose -- got Lois thinking along the right direction. She didn't split up L&C because there was nothing there to split. Dan, OTOH, was a regression, when L&C had started to date and the show's producers were panicked that they were getting along too well. :rolleyes:
Plus Dan was a lot more obnoxious than Mayson ever was.
