I have always hated Dan.

Clark was willing to leave Lois to him.

That is much worse than Lois thinking that Mayson had a thing for Clark.

Besides, Mayson was much better at comic relief.

I loved the time when Lois and Mayson told each other that they didn't like each other and it was a relief for both of them!
