It also makes his torso look weird and elongated... sort of like
the Mattel doll of Superman . Ugh... Look, Superman is the only one in the world who can pull off blue spandex and red briefs and not look stupid--- why change it? Besides, his costume is as iconic as the character himself! I've also read that they are doing a whole reboot of the comics anyway, including taking Lois out of the picture, at least for a while...just not good!
