I know that Mountain Dew (the real stuff, not the unleaded kind) tastes different in the can than it does in the plastic bottles. And it's been too long since I had one in a glass bottle, but I seem to remember that it tasted better than the stuff from the plastic bottle. I guess those aluminum coatings do dissolve in carbonated water and sugar.
Hey, does anyone else remember the old Mountain Dew bottles with the cartoon hillbillies on the side? The old jingle used to go something like "Yahoo, Mountain Dew! (bullet ricochet sound) It'll tickle yore innards!"
