Bob, I'm not sure that changes my argument. Should alt Clark either lead Lois on or cheat on his wife, he becomes far less than what the character of Clark Kent is. He loses his integrity. For that matter, so does Lois. That it is a difficult situation is not the question, really. As I recall, ML solves the problem by killing off 'the wife' (although that is not a happy solution for the wife) while neither Lois or Clark behave unseemly (euphemism warning there btw)
