Pack your bags, FoLCs! Or rather, back Lois's and Clark's bags. It's time to take these fics on the road. Write a story that puts our favorite characters in a location other than Metropolis. It can be another city, another country, another planet, or even another universe! All of time and space is up for grabs.
Once it's posted (or at least the first chapter, if this is going to take a while), put a link here and it will be eligible for the following categories:
1. Most Novel Location - You know how a lot of stories take place in the same few settings we all know and love? This is the opposite of that.
2. Best Scenery Description - What does this place look like? Sound like? Smell like? Take some time to tell us, and this award may well be yours!
3. Best Use of Culture or Language/Dialect In the Plot - Does someone commit a cultural faux pas? Do Lois and Clark learn a local word or phrase, or even just enjoy some new foods? How about a new outfit to blend in with the locals?
This time around, I will not be the one judging. On August 1st, polls will open, and all FoLCs will be invited to vote in all three categories for any of the fics listed here. Not only that, but our ultimate goal is to persuade the Kerth Committee to have "Best Destination" as a category for this coming year, with all that entails.
So sharpen those pencils, make sure that passport is up to date, and let's go!
