Really, again? Based on the "usefulness" of the current characters, the existence of ongoing plotlines and Superman-myths my guess would be Chloe. Clark, Lois and Lex are fixtures. Killing off Martha would've been an interesting twist in exchange for Jonathan but Clark won't lose both parents. As the producers and writers are still Lana-lovers she's a fixture for me as well. Lion-El surely has one yet unexplained plot and don't forget about him cozying up to Martha! Well, this leaves poor Chloe *sniff*
By the way, just watched "Tomb" and "Cyborg" in one sitting after having had little time in the past days. Following the memorable "Reckoning" I actually thought that we'd get a break from Clark/Lana stuff but apparently they've already forgotten! They're referring to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend again, did I miss something here? Last I remember, Lana broke up with him in Reckoning as she needs a break from them.
Back then she was having some interesting scenes with Lex but this possible couple is forgotten as well (I can't remember a single Lex/Lana scene in both episodes). Did you notice Lana talking about Lex and believing in his innocence? Afterwards it was proven that Lex was indeed guilty of knowing and assisting the Dr. in returning Victor to the lab. A pity that they didn't show any reaction from Lana to these news, I'd have appreciated that.
Regarding Lois these two episodes were almost wasted as well. Okay, there were very few (telephone) scenes in "Tomb" between her and Clark while she wasn't tied up but that was way too little interplay. Again, Lois was just the unlucky cousin lending her pretty face to push ratings.
But back to "Cyborg". I remember the actor from The Guardian as I've recently watched two episodes with him acting as a guest star. He was indeed one of the best FotW (well, "freak" of the week doesn't apply to SV anymore since season 3) to be chosen so far! Unfortunately, the concept was boring and washed out - Clark meets up with a "different" guy, helps him, befriends him, whines a bit about his tough life before said one-episode-friend rides off into the sunset. SV could really use some new writers.
