First time I read that line I envisioned Clark cooking breakfast in his sleep, not knowing what he was doing. You know, sleep-cooking?

I have been following this intense story since the beginning, and I must say that you haven't lifted the pedal from the metal yet. This is great! I assume, since Lois is the narrator, that the final chapter will not be narrated by someone at her wake?

Surely not. Surely someone rescued her at the last nanosecond!

I guess we'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out. Unless, of course, it's 22 of 25 or so.
