Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I got a foreboding feeling, like Cloneboy did something to Lois. I don't know, like maybe he was sent there on a mission by Luthor but was having doubts about it until she totally shunned him for Clark and so Cloneboy decided to go through with his orders after all. Maybe when he kissed her, he put some sort of Kryptonite on her or it soaked into her blood stream or something. Again, maybe I'm just reading into things but this scene seemed like more than just closure for Lois.
