This resolved just perfectly for me.

I have to admit when Clark started with the "let's slow things down, and tonight has been emotional" speech, I got a tad nervous. Not that that isn't justified and hasn't been used well previously. But there she is - in love with him and knowing he's Superman and promising not to run and he is a man, not a machine!

er...that wasn't meant to turn into a rant. I was trying to make a point...kind of derailed.... And it's that I love how you turned that around. How first Lois gets to be scared and then Clark does. And in the end, they trust each other enough to take the step that's been coming in all three stories.

I like how you write, Annie. You have a gift with taking familiar ground and making it new and different, and in this case completely engrossing and sweet.
