You know, Clark really doesn't have any reason to be mad at Lois. As far as he knows, she just looked up his old stories. That's reasonable, IMO - for her to read her new partner's work. Now if he knew she had that manuscript... well, that would be a totally different issue.
Speaking of... why on earth would Herb leave a manuscript about Superman in his present day? Heavens!! Was he crazy? Oh, sorry, silly question
