"I'm serious." He mirrored her posture. "I was already preparing myself to become a stepfather and do all those things I told you with him." Clark shrugged. "Now I have no one to help with homework, teach how to plant a vegetable garden, or explain the importance of making your own bed. I even thought about giving him a chicken from my farm! Taking care of an animal is great for kids to develop a sense of responsibility."
..but now I kinda want a fic where Clark is an amazing stepfather to her child.
"Thank you, Lois. I really had a great time today."
She sighed. "Me too."
