“You think I’d walk away?” she asked, steady but stunned. “After everything?”
He looked down, then back up, eyes full of conflict. “It’s not just about secrets. It’s about what those secrets mean. What they change”
This is so rough to read (i a good way) because knowing both of their perspectives, I know that they both definitely have good reasons for doing what they're doing.
Her voice softened. “I’d rather face the truth with you than live in the dark without you.”
Love the idea that the man who gets his powers from the sun is her light in this analogy.
You lose me by pretending you’re alone.
Such a great argument/contextualization of their predicament.

I really like this balance, that he led her there but let her piece it together.
Clark didn’t stop her. He just watched her, heart pounding, waiting to see if she’d run—or stay.
Its so sad because the Kents did a wonderful job, he still grew up with the seed that who he is isn't acceptable; it's like he's pre-programmed to think she'd reject him.
“You let me think it was me.”

So sad!
“I’m surprised,” she said quietly. “Not that you’re Superman. That you thought I couldn’t handle it.”
Another awesome mic drop moment for her!
“All it took was a pair of handcuffs and some tight ends.”

“Now we figure it out. Together.”
Yay!

And for the first time, they weren’t just partners in the field. They were partners in everything.
Such a cute wrap-up!
This was such an adventure!
PS LOVE Castle and Beckett and I totally see the inspo here! Even more fun with that context!
