Clark's humanity is on fully dispay here. I have to believe that anyone witnessing a devistated Superman being embraced in a supportive hug would have to emotionally connect to him, sympathize with him, see him as a man rather than a god in a cape. Though he hears them calling him Superman, those people in the waiting room must feel in their hearts that they are seeing Clark. And I think that hug is the most beautiful thing in this entire amazing story. Brava!
