Hmm... let me say (as an "underager" myself) that, nowadays, every kid 12+ years old can understand "references" like these, and they would not feel offended.
I'm 23 and an nfic writer, and I was offended. I have also heard from many, many people today who were upset by this comment - most of them well above "the age of consent." As for the underage issue, it's not a matter of whether they feel offended reading it, it's a legal matter about whether they are *allowed* to read it. And references like this push the legal limits. We don't want to take any chances on things like this.
